Introducing the Femeconomy. A powerful contributor to gender equality.

This Women in Business Network brings together a range of informal learning and networking events for women who wish to learn, share and grow both personally and professionally.

In this session we are delighted to introduce Alicia Beachley, CEO of her own business and a member of the Femeconomy, that promotes the support of women-owned businesses and brands to assist advance education and gender equality.

Femeconomy educates consumers, budget and business owners on how purchasing decisions can assist contribute to achieving better gender equality. In fact, to be a Femeconomy-Certified business requires that business to have at least 30% of women as board directors or to be 50% female-owned!

You are the female economy.

The belief is that channelling purchasing power towards these businesses can potentially assist their profitability, leading to the potential for more women in leadership roles, who can contribute to better gender equality outcomes. And contribute indirectly to potentially better domestic violence outcomes.

Gender quality may not be achieved for another 216 years*

An interesting perspective and part of a fascinating presentation by Jade Collins, Director & Co-Founder of Femeconomy in her video clip shown below.

Who's invited? Everyone.

You don't have to be a CBD Sydney Chamber member to participate. Invite a friend or colleague and expand the conversation and network.
