FACT: Aging well has never been more important to Australians. ABS figures from this year tell us there are more Australians over 65 than under 15*.
QUESTION: How will you re-imagine your future, especially those of older family members? How are they going to deal with their personal affairs living for far longer than ever before?

Advisers, consultants and professionals are also welcome.
The Facts of Life & Family Business Today
With these increasingly hard edge realities, each of us is compelled to plan better, and with more security, to manage the longer-term sustainability of our businesses and families, thus, with fewer surprises.
In this context this event is designed to share knowledge and provide contacts to discuss considerations and options for looking after the health, wealth and wellness of your family, business and loved ones including those with special needs. Specialist presenters will speak very briefly, and then provide you with an opportunity to discuss your specific interests one on one in separate stations across the room covering the three topic areas of:
- Health: Moving from medicine to overall health
- Wealth: Caring for more than just your money
- Wellness: Caring for how you live - ageing well in place
In 2017 almost 16% of Australians (3.8 million) were aged 65 and over and in the 12 months to 30 June 2018 this group increased 3.3% per year. Compare that to the 1.4% increase in the same period of children aged zero to 14 years of age*.
This demographic reality compels us all to quickly re-imagine our futures especially of family members.
- How they are going to deal with their personal affairs living as we do for longer periods?
- How are they going to do so when there are fewer people in percentage terms of working age?

This educational event is a chance for the topics to be introduced and discussed with the presenters and supporter representatives.
There will be hosted discussion stations around the room where you will be able to move between conversations with supporters including 2SER, Sydney Community Foundation, Osana Care, Dementia Australia, Community Care Northern Beaches and Wilson Learning. Discussion areas include:
- Dealing with disability
- Supported Decision Making - how?
- Aged care transitions
- Governance, education, succession helping families row in the same boat providing training and education for advisers and clients - in a collaborative search for competence.
This is also a networking event and a great opportunity to create new relationships.
