A hands on workshop to help create a digitisation plan your business needs

The CBD Sydney Chamber is proud to present this digitisation workshop designed specifically for SME businesses to support the development or refinement of a Business Digitisation Priority Plan.


Why present this workshop?

It’s a fact that Australian SME business UNDERSPEND on tech and IT enhancement not because they don’t realise its importance, but most likely because they may not have a clear plan. So in this workshop you will create or refine an existing one with the help of subject matter experts Sarah McAvoy and Mark Casey.

What you will get from this workshop

The primary objective is to apply your understanding of your business and develop a Business Digitisation Priority Plan.

How? Two workshops within 2 weeks of each other (plus a little networking along the way).


Ahead of the Workshop
All participants will receive a simple template to complete, designed to identify the current infrastructure on which your business relies.

Workshop 1: Reviewing your IT Infrastructure to create a Plan 
  • the workshop leaders will work through the template 
  • then learn from a selection of case studies around:  
    • how and what type of  AI applications to consider
    • out of date cyber protection plan and cyber insurance protection
    • cloud & server strategies -are yours affordable and up to the task
    • networking issues within your business and mobile
    • poor internet plan/connectivity and the impact it can have on business
  • then review your template & contribute to a Q&A
 Workshop 2: Reviewing progress against your plan & resolving roadblocks
  • With the plan you developed - what have you been able to do in the last 2 weeks?
  • What are the roadblocks? How can we assist you get around these?

Sarah McAvoy is the Principal & Founder of CyberUnlocked. Sarah is flexible and versatile cyber security leader specialising in leading innovative security solutions with the technical ability to understand complex security needs. With over 15 years of experience from solution development to security testing and always striving to wow her customers whenever she can.



Mark Casey is Principal and Founder of Pegasus Technology. They are Essential Eight Cyber Security Expert and Qualified Accessor (that's the Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC) cyber security Framework). They are often involved in measure their Cyber Security maturity, implementation of the Essential Eight Security program and planning/setting up independent data security for Cloud Services data.
