Event Description:

CBD Sydney Chamber in partnership with Brave People Solutions presents the third installment in the Improving Your Business Series

The CBD Women in Business Network focuses on harnessing our knowledge, skills and experience to create a supportive network that fosters learning and connection.

The Improving Your Business Series of workshops focus on professional, business and personal improvement.

Peer-to-peer learning and an expanded network

Earlier workshops focused on  Managing Yourself & Others in Times of Change & Challenge  and How to Live and Lead Bravely. Both were sold-out!

The content for each is crafted to enhance the confidence and capabilities of women in business - while creating opportunities for discussion, for peer-to-peer learning and an expanded network of like-minded women. Inspired, fun, practical, engaging and interactive.

So why are B.R.A.V.E conversations important?

Too many times conflicts escalate, misunderstandings spiral out of control and relationships deteriorate because of a failure to have a BRAVE conversation.  As human beings, each with our own distinct values, needs, history and communication style it is not surprising that we will experience differences of opinion, misunderstandings and conflict when we interact with others.  Communication and strategically raising issues are the bridge to understanding and connection and yet too often this is not done well or not done at all. This workshop is designed to help you have that BRAVE conversation and achieve greater understanding and connection with those around you.

So what does it stand for?
  • Be ready
  • Raise the issue
  • Assertively communicate
  • Validate
  • Empathise
