Welcome to In Conversation
A brand new series of interviews and interactive conversations.
This first In Conversation features Jacqui Barrett, Partner with Hall & Wilcox Law with Tulsi van de Graaff, Partner, Brave People Solutions.
Hall & Wilcox, through their Frank Lab group, work closely with startup businesses to provide mentorship, advice and connection to funding streams. Over the course of these programs the team observed a simple fact: that women in startups were not achieving similar levels of success as those that were male-led.
In 2019 Hall & Wilcox commissioned formal research to better understand this phenomena and released the "Supporting Our Women in Startups. What we have heard and how we can help" Report.
One of the learnings focused around The Imposter Syndrome, an issue that appears to be prevalent among women in any business - start up or an established business.
In this conversation, Jacqui Barrett and Tulsi van de Graaff will explore this report and issues relating to The Imposter Syndrome.
Jacqui will lead us through the background and some findings of the research and draw specifically on the first key finding around The Imposter Syndrome.
Tulsi will lead us through ways to overcome The Imposter Syndrome, including techniques to manage challenging emotions, self-doubt and communicate with confidence.
